ALABAMA COUNCIL FOR THE SOCIAL STUDIES

Welcome to the Alabama Council for Social Studies

We are an organization of educators from K-12 and higher education in the state of Alabama dedicated to social studies education. Our goal is to enable students to become global citizens and prepare them for the future. We do this by engaging educators from around the state in collaboration to empower them to be advocates within their own classrooms. We want students to become explorers of their world and to make connections between the past and present to become informed decision makers in the future.
We welcome all educators who share this same passion!
